The sun has been shining after a few days of very welcome rain. I've got all my plants planted, my pots of flowers put up and filled up and I've filled in, yet again, the hole our one dog, Rusty, insists on digging in my flower bed. It's so frustrating. I don't know what's in there that he's determined to dig up, but no matter how many times we reprimand him, how many times we fill it up and put things overtop to deter him, he goes in and digs around it, tossing dirt all over the lawn
The worst of it is, I check the 'digging hole' each morning when I go for my walk and I don't have to say a thing. I can tell by the way he cowers on the step that he does, indeed know, he's been a bad dog. So why doesn't he think of that before said digging happens? Who knows.
I hope someday whatever it is he thinks he needs to get will slip out of his brain and he will leave that flower bed alone. Thank goodness it's just the one, but still.....
Cowboys. Larger than life heroes. What is about cowboys that is so appealing? Other than the rolling gait, the flashing smile and their chivalry. Maybe it's also how they ride out to face challenges--everything from floods to mad cows and wild animals. Or is it their code of honor that demands they protect women, children and weaker people. They'll stand up to bullies and bad guys to their own peril. But maybe I am romanticizing these men. (Maybe?). But why not find out for yourself.
Until June 25th, this collection of cowboy stories written by six of your favorite Christian authors is free. Click on the picture to get this book. And enjoy these cowboys before the week is over.
These days I'm working on a new Aspen Valley Series. Soon you'll be finding out more about Liam Prins and Aubrey, the woman who now runs the Pasta Place. Why has she changed so much? And what's with the tattoo on her neck?
You'll be finding out more in the next while.
Meantime, I hope you have a chance to read Western Vows and pre-order Western Blessings (https://readerlinks.com/l/2125914) The last two books in the Cowboys of Aspen Valley series. Blessings to you.
